Teen 2 students learning the parts of the body!

The Teen 2 students played The Body Twister, to practice the parts of the body and some imperative sentences like: Touch the yellow circle with your left hand! It was very funny!

Speak in Caruaru!

A new branch of Speak was inaugurated in Caruaru yesterday. The afternoon was beautiful , perfect for a special day! It´s a new step for us and we are sure it´s going to be a sucess!

It´s a lovely place and you can feel happy there. so , come and visit us because the easiest way to learn English has just arrived in Caruaru.

Trick or Treat?

Our little students prepared a bag to receive halloween candies. After the class, they walked through the school asking our staff and students: Trick or Treat? They went home with full bags!

Halloween 2011

Last Friday we celebrated the Halloween. Our party is very famous and our students wait for it all the year!

In the afternoon, it was the kids party! They had a lot of fun with games, music and delicious candies! Their costumes were amazing!

 

At night, the teenagers and adults danced all night with DJ Arthur and Astúcia do Samba Band!

Teen 4

The Teen 4 students read and listened a dialogue between a passenger and a flight attendant. Then, the teacher asked them to roleplay the dialogue in pairs.

The result was very interesting! They could practice pronunciation and intonation, and they also learnt some new vocabulary! Practical English classes are very important to improve the skills of our students!

SPEAK CIRCUS

Last Friday we celebrated the Children's Day! The party had the circus as its theme! It was the Speak Circus! The kids could play with the clown and their teachers, eat popcorn and candies and take a photo with a mini cow! They also won a box of candies and the photograph with the mini cow to take home!

It was an amazing afternoon, the students had a lot of fun!

FCE

Last week, the FCE students studied some modal verbs (possibility, certainty, ability). Divided into groups, they studied the modal verbs and prepared a presentation for their classmates. It was very interesting, because they could learn by studying and teaching one another.

Our Computer Room

Do you know our Computer Room? Our students are always there, playing games, surfing the internet, sending emails and studying! 

 Our computer room is one of the student´s favorite places. They normally go there when they finish their classes to have some fun!

 There you can find DVDs, CD Rooms and a lot of Readers to improve your English skills.

Teen 4

These are the Teen 4 students. In this class they were studying the Past Simple.

 

 Using the plastic letters, the students were writing the verbs that the teacher asked in the past. But they were also having fun! They were playing crosswords!

4th Stage

The 4th stage students went to our video room and watched an episode of the serie "Two and a half man." It was a funny and enjoyable evening. The students could practice and improve what they were studying in class.

After watching the episode, they were asked to write sentences about the  characters of the serie using modifiers. One of our students wrote: "Charlie is incredibly mad!" 

Picnic at Speak!

Last Friday, the Teen 2 and Pre-Teen 2 students had a Picnic.

Their teachers (Janaina and Jefferson) prepared everything to practice countable and uncountable nouns, some/any, there is/there are, the plural of words and the vocabulary of food.

 It was a great way to practice everything that they have studied in class. 

It was a funny and delicious afternoon.
